A reminder: The October SMUG meeting at St. Luke's Church in Sequim will be on the second Wednesday of the month rather than the first Wednesday. The exact date is 10/08.
Wednesday, Oct. 8th, 2008, 7:15 p.m.
Location: St. Luke's Church in Sequim
Presentation: Ray Bentsen will do a presentation on MobileMe, the enhanced Apple web service that replaces .Mac.
MobileMe provides the capability to synchronize much of your personal data with other Macs, PCs, and iPhones. E-mail, contacts, personal schedules, bookmarks and even notes are automatically "pushed" among your devices ... keeping them all up-to-date. MobileMe also allows selected iPhoto albums to be uploaded and synced with an on-line Photo Gallery that can be viewed by friends and family. Individual photos can easily be downloaded, and there is an option to allow album contributions ... uploaded via web browser or by e-mail.
MobileMe data can also be accessed and managed by using new user-friendly web applications from any computer in the world that has web access (by going to www.me.com) .
This demo will describe MobileMe benefits for those who ...
a) use more than one computing device, including Macs, PCs, an iPhone, or an iPod Touch.
b) use computing devices while away from home, either at work or when traveling.
c) would like to easily share photos with family and friends using the internet.
